Prayer
It is strange how things are inter-connected. During a quality control seminar, it was repeatedly discussed that an organization should work for quality & not for financial rewards.
Also, when the first Everest climber was asked about his thoughts after reaching the summit, he said ‘how to get back home safely.’
Crossing point of no return without an exit plan became taboo in my life.
For me, safe surgical outcome became an obsession and even though it led to difficult financial situations for years, I knew I was going in the right direction.
Though very personal, I do not mind sharing that the only prayer that I offer at any temple is that ‘may nothing go wrong in my hands and each of my patient should get well.’ I see no difference in quality control philosophy of large organizations and my prayer.
